Lori has provided counsel on all manner of secured loan transactions to both borrowers and lenders including banks, trust and insurance companies and equipment financiers, involving a wide variety of collateral including real estate, intellectual property, aircraft and computer equipment.

When disputes arise, she acts on workouts, restructuring, collections, loan enforcement, priority issues, security review and realization and proceedings under the Companies Creditors Arrangement Act as well as on receiverships and bankruptcies. In addition, she advises on mortgage enforcement with an emphasis on powers of sale.

Lori has participated extensively in a wide variety of real estate-based transactions including acquisitions, sales, mortgage financings, condominium organization and commercial leasing. She has also been actively involved in the acquisition, sale and financing of businesses.

Lori has represented municipal and other clients in technology procurement matters. In addition, she has a developing art practice involving traditional legal services, copyright and information technology-related issues, and art-specific matters including consignment, sale, licensing, rental, commission, exhibition, donation and valuation.

Lori is active keeping her clients current with written materials and seminars dealing with, among other things, secured lending and enforcement issues.

She has recently published an article concerning purchase money security interests under the Personal Property Security Act (Ontario).
