Paula Bremner is a partner at Gardiner Roberts. Paula practices in a variety of aspects of intellectual property law. She often appears before the Federal Court of Canada in patent and trade-mark litigation. A particular focus of her practice deals with patents in the context of the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations. Paula has also worked extensively on trade-mark opposition matters, and made frequent appearances before the Trade-marks Opposition Board.

Paula has experience drafting and prosecuting Canadian and U.S. patent applications. She has been active in advising clients as to infringement and validity of intellectual property rights, and developing strategies that are consistent with their business mandate.

Paula is a Registered Patent Agent, a Registered Trade-mark Agent and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry. She has a Masters Degree in Intellectual Property Law, where her thesis paper dealt with patent evergreening issues. Paula speaks regularly on intellectual property issues and strategies regarding proceedings in the Federal Court.
