John has practiced at Gardiner Roberts since 1992. During that time John has developed a broad range of expertise in real estate and corporate commercial law. John has also developed sub-specialties in financing, energy and health law with an emphasis on the real estate and corporate commercial aspects thereof.

Over the past several years, John has delivered advice to clients and acted on transactions in a broad range of areas within these specialties including:

• mergers, acquisitions divestments and associated financings
• secured financings, acting on behalf of both lenders and borrowers
• specialized financing - including structuring overseas-based sharia compliant financings for the acquisition and operation of real estate in the Province of Ontario
